The Federal Bloom

Celebrates the timeless character of Washington, D.C., drawing inspiration from the city's historic neighborhoods, elegant townhomes, and timeless boutique hotel.

Washington, DC

Project Overview

The objective is to create a property that celebrates the timeless character of Washington, D.C., drawing inspiration from the city's historic neighborhoods, elegant townhomes, and timeless boutique hotels.

The design offers guests a stay that reflects the charm and heritage of the nation's capital while providing the comfort and luxury expected of a modern Airbnb.

Design Strategy

The strategy focuses on making a strong visual impact through a curated selection of updates rather than a complete redesign. A few statement furniture pieces with classic D.C. character, selective wall accents, and thoughtfully chosen accessories will introduce new focal points while allowing the existing spaces to retain their identity.

A light, sophisticated color palette will keep the interiors feeling bright and inviting, while carefully placed patterns and layered textures add depth and personality. By making intentional changes in key areas, the refresh creates a noticeably more polished and elevated look with fewer, well-chosen pieces.

How This Project Was Supported

This project demonstrates the design foundation that informs our short-term rental work. Design is never treated as decoration alone. It is used as a strategic tool to shape how a space feels, functions, and supports daily life.
